Virgin America, the California-based airline that is bringing fun and style back to flying, today partnered with Match.com to bring singles aboard the airline’s SuperFly Wednesday night series for an evening of social networking and fun. Bob Guiney formerly of The Bachelorette and The Bachelor will be on the flight to encourage guests to meet their match and stir things up en route from San Francisco to Las Vegas. Upon landing, the fun continues at Tao Lounge at The Venetian Las Vegas with a complimentary sponsored bar from 9:30 pm until 11:00 pm.

We’ve had an overwhelming response from guests since we started the SuperFly Wednesday flight series, said Dimitrios Papadogonas, Virgin America’s Director of Marketing. With swanky, mood lit cabins and a seat-to-seat chat feature, we’ve noticed that our planes have become a new place for social networking and for singles to meet. Match.com is the perfect partner to encourage guests to mix and mingle at 38,000 feet on their way to a fabulous destination.

What started as a five-week promotion will now continue as an ongoing program on select Virgin America Wednesday night flights. Guests will enjoy a stylish ride aboard Virgin America’s brand new planes, which feature nightclub-like moodlighting, custom designed leather seats, and the most advanced in-flight entertainment system in the skies. As part of SuperFly Wednesdays, all guests will enjoy two complimentary cocktails* in flight and can meet new friends using the seat-to-seat chat feature. To keep the party going on the ground, SuperFly boarding passes will provide hotel discounts and other specials at designated hotel and bar partners.
