Joe Commisso bested 805 people in the $5000 6-max No Limit Holdem event at the 2008 World Series of Poker, taking home a shade over $900,000 for this win. Commisso, an avid online poker player, topped his opponent Richard Lyndaker, another online poker player, in a heads up battle that Lyndaker just wouldn’t go away in.

It took awhile, but Commisso held his ground and played solid poker, and managed to parlay his patiences into a huge payday. This is Commisso’s first bracelet and largest tournament cash.
