Ryan Hughes won his 2nd bracelet this year at the 2008 World Series of Poker, taking down Ron Long in a heads up battle in the $1500 stud hi-lo event. Last year, Hughes won a bracelet in a stud hi/lo event with a larger buy-in, but this win solidifies him as one of the better stud hi-lo players.

“I was supposed to go home two days ago but someone emailed me and told me to play,” said Hughes. It was the same situation last year, with the same result — a gold bracelet.

“The second bracelet means a little more because it’s a lot tougher crowd to get into,” explained Hughes. “A lot of people get the first bracelet, but the second one means it’s not quite a fluke.”

Hughes will take home $183,368 for his work, as well as the keys to the two-bracelet club. Congratulations!
