Roger Federer is the undisputed world’s #1 tennis player and just may be, quite possibly, the greatest player ever to play the game.  Even so, all the buzz is about whether or not he can beat one young Spaniard named Rafael Nadal.  In their last meeting (albeit on clay, Nadal’s forte), he couldn’t even put up a fight, winning only four GAMES in the entire match.  But Wimbledon is Federer’s turf–the 5-time defending champ looks focused and dominant, and beating him on grass is no small task for any player, even the red hot Nadal.

Federer has beaten Nadal in the last two Wimbledon finals.  However, Nadal has beaten “The Fed” in the last three French Open finals.  A victory here for Nadal would bring into question who really is the world’s best player right now.  Both players advanced to the final earning victories in straight sets over their respective opponents Marat Safin and Reiner Schuettler.  Now its time for the matchup everybody is waiting for.  Is it time for Roger to pass the torch, or can he hold off the upstart kid for a few more years as he further etches his name into the record books.  If I was you, I wouldn’t miss this match. Unfortunately, the time is still yet to be determined…
