There really isn’t much better in this world than a good old fashioned heavy metal soap opera, and The Dillinger Escape Plan and Disturbed have given us just that over the last several months.  For a detailed recap, hit up this site (this is the best blog on the net for heavy metal news). Here is a brief recap:

DEP guitarist Ben Weinman calls out Disturbed in BEAT Magazine for choreographing every move of their show , including when they put their foot on a monitor and how to pose. Weinman claims to have witnessed this during a soundcheck.

Disturbed guitarist Dan Donegan retorts by claiming he doesn’t even know who this guy is and that there is no way he could’ve been present at said soundcheck. He also makes several arrogant comments about how “the big boys” have to choreorgraph because they play stadiums and sell lots of records.

Weinmen responds by saying Disturbed singer David Draiman has a small penis.

Draiman attempts to take the high road by saying he respects DEP, but also manages to sound just about as arrogant as Donegan, once again referring to how their band sells out stadiums and DEP plays clubs.

Donegan also attempts to take the high road by wishing DEP luck and success. He then physically threatens the band saying “they just need to learn to be careful what they say because this band will ‘walk up to you’.”

AHAHAHA. Now I guess among all the other things DEP has to worry about, a physical confrontation with Donegan “walking up to them” may be in the cards. FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!!
