After an 11 year hiatus, British sensation The Verve are back with their newest offering entitled “The Forth”. The band that brought you “Bittersweet Symphony” in the late 1990’s is now ready to impress the ears of new listeners with an increasingly experimental album that mixes the best of the pop music they created with their more recent albums and the neo-psychedelic sound the band began with. The band has gained critical acclaim from their earlier works and commercial success from their later adjustment to the Britpop style, as evidenced by smash hits such as the aforementioned Symphony. Bridging the two sounds is a logical progression for the re-formed quintet.
The album is set to drop August 25 in the U.K via Parlophone and the following day in North America on the band’s On Our Own label, with distribution by RED/Megaforce. Check it out!
