The big man is back in camp.  Yup, Brett Favre has returned to Green Bay and is ready to play–much to the shagrin of [former] starter Aaron Rodgers.  Officially the team says Rodgers is there guy and is number one on the depth chart; however, we all know if Favre stays in Green Bay he will play.  That being said, as information comes available, it seems more and more likelyl that Favre will be playing the season elsewhere.

Favre and Head Coach Mike McCarthy met on Monday for over five hours and plan to meet again Tuesday morning. The meeting went so long McCarthy cancelled his scheduled press conference to discuss the goings on of the discussion.  Presumably McCarthy has been trying to find out if Favre would accept being number two on the depth chart behind Rodgers.  Favre is unlikely to participate in practice starting at 2 pm today (Tuesday).

Rodgers has been named the teams starter indefinitely and will continue to take snaps with the first team. The Packers have said that they are fielding offers for Favre, including from the NFC North division rival Minnesota Vikings. Overall, the situation is still a mess, and nobody knows exactly whats going on. McCarthy said he will hold a press conference today with news, but has not scheduled anything. I guess until then, you must wait with baited breath.
