London was a hotbed of poker action last weekend as Leicester Square was the site for “Poker in the Park,” an event that included free games, seminars, and more! PKR (a poker room that does not allow U.S. players) was the sponsor, putting together a series of games with professional dealers and broadcasting them across the “Poker in the Park” jumbotron.
Well known British poker pro Dave “Devilfish” Ulliott was on-hand for the event, and even did commentary for the final table of the Bluff Europe Championship Event. Joining Ulliott at the event were pros Neil Channing, Nik Persaud, Mark Goodwin, Paul Jackson, Tony Holden, Tom Sambrook and Liv Boeree. These pros offered their advice to an eager young audience in the Poker Academy tent.
“This event proved that the UK loves poker just as much as the Americans, but more importantly that it plays poker for fun and entertainment in a measured and responsible manner,” said Michael Caselli, editor-in-chief of Bluff Europe, another sponsor of the event.
