Former Kansas basketball teammates Darrell Arthur and Mario Chalmers were fined $20,000 each and sent home from the NBA Rookie Symposium for violating the NBA’s policy about having guests in the room during the event.  The rookies, both selected in the June draft by the Memphis Grizzlies and Miami Heat, were caught in their room with two unidentified females. Ex-NBA Referee Donaghy To Wear Stripes Once Again

July 29, 2008 - No Comments Ex-NBA referee Tim Donaghy will once again be donning stripes, although this time he will be turning in the referees uniform for prison garb. The verdict is in–the man is a disgrace, and for him, that means 15 months in prison and three years of supervised release after judge Carol Amon handed down sentencing on Tuesday.  Many feel the punishment is too light for Donaghy, a man who violated the trust of the NBA and its fans by accepting thousands....

Sonics to Oklahoma City

July 3, 2008 - 1 Comment The franchise that brought you the dynamic NBA Jam trio of Kemp, Payton, and Shrempf will no longer reside in the Emerald City.  A lawsuit brought by the city against Sonics owner Clay Bennett claiming that a lease on the arena should keep the team in Seattle for at least two more years, was settled, much to the shagrin of Sonics fans.  Just hours before the judge was about to make a determination as to whether or not the Sonics must stay in Seattle....
