Latin American Poker Tour Uruguay Begins Today
August 8, 2008 - No Comments The last leg of the Latin American Poker Tour began today in Punta del Este, Uruguay. The inaugural event features a three-day, $2,700 buy-in, no-limit hold’em event. Previously, the tour stopped in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where 314 entrants battled it out to grab the $223,000 first place prize. May 5, 2008 - No Comments The Latin American Poker Tour’s inaugural event filled up and is now down to 9 players in sunny Rio di Janeiro, Brazil, with Julien Nuijten of Holland leading the way. Nuijten holds a commanding chip lead with $970,000, and coming in second in chips is Vitaly Kovyazin from Brooklyn, New York, holding $380,000.
